APRS One-Shot Beacon
This tool is offline, and stays offline until it can check a licence before it transmits.
Why it is switched off
Sending a beacon is transmitting. This page used to do that only for operators whose licence had been checked by hand, and the service holding those approvals is no longer running.
Putting the form back without that check would not be a small shortcut. An APRS-IS passcode is calculated from the callsign and nothing else — this site generates them, and so does everyone else — so it proves nothing about who is typing. A public form with no licence check is a box that lets anyone appear on the map under your callsign, from anywhere in the world. The operator who would answer for it is the one whose callsign was used.
It returns when there is an operator registry to gate it again.

A phone, over the internet
APRSdroid on Android sends position over APRS-IS with your callsign and passcode held on your own device. The closest thing to what this page did.

A handheld with a built-in TNC, or any 2 m set with a soundcard TNC and a laptop, beacons on 144.800 MHz and reaches the network through a digipeater or an iGate.
